No need to get a fishing license, the boat is licensed for all passengers to fish.
Food and Drinks – Bring whatever you like to eat and drink. Things like sandwiches, fruit, chips & pretzels are all good choices. You can bring beer if you like but hard liquor is not allowed. During the winter Striper season we’ll have hot soup and coffee – courtesy of the captain.
Cooler – You should bring a cooler for transporting your fish back home (can be left in the car). I maintain two large coolers on the boat both dedicated for your use; one is for your catch and the other is for your food and drinks. In order to keep the deck organized we like to transfer all of your food and drink from any separate coolers you might have, and into our large cooler.
Sunscreen – Don’t under estimate the importance of sunscreen out on the water. You may be exposed to the sun for long periods of time out on the boat. So please consider sunscreen.
Hats & Sunglasses – A good idea.
Towels – You may want to bring some towels for drying off should you chose to freshen up in the cabin, rinse off with the fresh water, or lying out on the bow.
Pillow & Blanket – If you think you might want to nap in the cabin (a good idea for an extra long trip).
Tapes or CDs – We have a cassette / CD player on the boat with four speaker stereo sound. Feel free to bring your favorite music (no vulgar lyrics).
Fishing Gear – We will provide all of the fishing gear you need. All of our tackle and gear is first class and selected for the particular fish we are targeting on that trip. However if you have a favorite rod, reel, and tackle, feel free to bring it. I will let you know if I recommend it for that particular trip.
Camera – Cameras are always a good idea.
Shoes – We prefer you wear non-skid, non-marking shoes; preferably no black sole soles and no leather soles. However if that’s all you have then OK.
Motion sickness medication – Only you know if you need it; if so I recommend you use a product like Dramamine or better yet “the patch” according to your pharmacist’s or doctor’s instructions.
What not to bring: Contraband of any type, drugs, guns, mace, etc…
